Short version
SourTime works out how much flour, water, starter and salt a sourdough loaf needs, and walks you through all five phases — from autolyse to out of the oven. No account, no server, no ads.
Long version
Sourdough forgives a lot, but not bad timing. That is the part SourTime takes over: tell the app how heavy the loaf should be and it works out every amount to the gram, including your own flour mixes of wheat, rye, spelt and wholemeal. A timer then leads through autolyse, bulk ferment, shaping, final proof and bake, each with the step that belongs to it.
Reminders respect quiet hours you set yourself: a long overnight ferment is part of sourdough, an alarm at three in the morning is not. If you like, you can plan backwards from the time the bread should be ready — optionally with an overnight cold proof in the fridge.
Since version 1.1 the widget shows something even when no timer is running: starter care with the progress toward the next feeding, the next step, or the recipe at a glance. The starter can be fed right there — guarded by a time window, a confirmation step and an undo button.
SourTime has no sign-in and no server. Everything stays on the device; there is no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics. The free version is not a demo: calculator, complete timer, starter assistant and bake history are included and stay that way. SourTime Pro is a one-time 9.99 € purchase, not a subscription.
The app is the work of one person and is available in 23 languages.
